August Belf is at his happiest singing and playing his ukulele in front of audiences, be it at Crocker Park during the Marblehead Festival of Arts, or busking at his favorite spots around Marblehead.  August has been picking, strumming, chucking, and bending strings on a ukulele since he was six years old. Although August’s father, his teacher Adam Saylor, and the Marblehead School of Music have all been influences, his greatest inspiration has come from the ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro. August is currently in singing in the Marblehead High School a cappella group The Jewel Tones, and is always on the lookout for opportunities to pick up and play his ukulele for an audience.
